It is a very popular way of eating in many parts of Asia. Base broths and dipping sauce will vary with different regions however the style of cooking remains the same throughout.

How it works
We arrive 60 minutes prior to your scheduled time to set up using your kitchen.
We will then introduce the basics of hotpot, dipping sauces and ingredients.
You enjoy this unique dining experience. We will clean up at the agreed time while you enjoy the rest of your party.

At The Makan Bowl, our journey begins with our founder, Jiani Lim, who has a deep love for Singaporean and Asian cuisine. Her travel adventures have taken her on a delightful journey through the diverse flavors of Asia.
One dish close to Jiani's heart is hotpot, a culinary masterpiece beloved across the continent. She's experienced different variations of hotpot throughout her travels in Asia
The word 'Makan' is special; it means 'eat' in Malay, reflecting the centrality of food in Singapore. At The Makan Bowl, we not only share a taste of Singapore but also Jiani's love for Asian food.
